The Space Station – Episode 4

The team is building a decentralized communication protocol, that will be used for Planets to be able to communicate with each other. Which was the original idea. But it can be used in a much wider way. Also outside of Planets and even outside of the Ordinals space. It’s a brand new protocol for decentralized communication that doesn’t exist yet. It is a way to communicate without interference. Focusing on privacy but built with a decentralized way to stop spamming or abuse of the system in all forms.

It is a huge project but its definitely worth it. Key of the Planets project is getting more people from outside of Ordinals into it. People will kind of live inside of the Galaxy, where they can show what they like, what you collect and talk to other people, inside the Galaxy.

It is a big development but Creator will give as much updates as he can. First view of the communication protocol will be ready this year. Next to that the team is working on new art in the Galaxy.

It’s a new event in the Galaxy, built by the team. Discovered by accident in the process of adding the Mother art a few weeks ago. An external artist is also working on creating an art piece that will be added to the Galaxy.

Currently there are 29 Block Planets but there will be 50. The 2100 supply will never be changed. Creator bought several Planets of the floor that will be converted into Block Planets. Block Planets can be earned by Planets holders. He is also gonna make some more Planets as honoraries, for people that make extra effort to make the Planets project a success.

Release of resources are a bit delayed, because Creator has a challenge with assigning traits the planets. A little creative block. Traits are needed for the resources.

Merch: Creator is looking into merch, he also discussed it with SUYE, as they do a lot of high end merch for artists. If Planets will have merch, it will be high-end merch. Like customized hoodies/caps with your own planet. Planets project would be perfect for it, but it won’t be a short term thing.

Important dates

Suye Sundays in Amsterdam, with The London Police, Planets and more. Behind the scene Creator and Suye are working on a way to bridge Planets with other projects (outside Ordinals). It will give people a reason to explore the Galaxy. People attending Sunday might get to know more about these initatives.

November 12
Bitcoin Amsterdam Ordinals Meetup in the gallery, featuring Planets.

November 14-16
DesignerCon Las Vegas. The Suye booth will also feature Planets. Creator and Suye are working on a way to give Planets maximum exposure there.

November
Sebastrosen from Argentina is joining the stage. He is working on featuring Planets in the Planetario Galileo Galilei in Buenos Aires during Bitcoin Buenos Aires mid November this year. The planetarium has a 4D dome screen where 280 people can sit under and view the Galaxy.

General Talk

Itcha joins the stage to talk about his Lil Wiggles project. Lil Wiggles is a collection with many cultural references, mysteries and conspiracies embedded in cool artwork. A slow mint like Planets. The remainder was recently airdropped to the holders.

After that Chuck and Creator talk about YONDER and how special that art is. Pixel art but with layers of shades, shine and lighting

Also talking about LunaLauncher, a new and inexpensive way to launch collections, built by the Lunatics team. Works great and people like the clean look of the website.

Alpha: new PFP project incoming

The urge of creating stuff never rests in the brain of Creator. There will be more personalization options for Planets next to naming it. One of those things is various PFP collections designed for Planets. Probably spread out over several years. The first collection will be pixelart with a lot of traits and a lot of attention to details. Created by the pixel artist in the team together with Creator.

It is going to be a crazy looking collection, not like Creator is known for. Born in the “crazy” part of his mind. Supply 10k. Low mint price.

There will be advantage for Planets holders (OG Benefits). They mint at a discount. And some other benefit that Creator doesn’t want to tell yet.

You will be able to give your Planet a PFP onchain. Like inhabitants of the Planets. Visitors to the Planet can see this PFP. The functionality of adding PFPs to Planets will be opened up for other collections also. Sort of as a onchain showcase in the Galaxy.

Suye asks if Creator will change his PFP from an OMB to the new one: YES.

Mint will be at Ordinal.io in about 4 weeks. It needs a bit of work for this, because in the Planets mint there was no wallet connect. But a lot of users asked for it so that has to be built into Ordinal.io. Also they want to built that you cannot see what you mint, so people cannot cancel a mint and remint.

What will the name of the collection be? Creator doesn’t want to say, but he did drop a teaser saying WE COME IN PEACE.

The whitelist will likely be designed based on the collected Ordinals wallets data.

Closing

The space is closed with a talk with Master Yi, a new Planets collector who bought 4 planets after seeing them at the Suye Gallery. The next space station will be starting a little later, as people requested.
